it was fine at the title screen and when i went to open my map, it loaded it up fine, but then there was a red error message in the top right corner of my screen saying: rei's minimap ERROR:null (or something like that) and the loading screen popped up again and said 'saving chunks' and the screen went white.
The patch was completed and i opened up the launcher again and logged in. I patched the minecraft.jar in the tekkit folder in roaming section in the. so i closed out of the launcher and opened up McPatcher. however, i remembered that i didnt patch the new texture pack that i just installed.
Today i booted up Tekkit from the java launcher and it worked fine.
